Car Auctions

So maybe you’ve heard or read a lot about car auctions recently, but you’ve been hesitant to participate in one yourself.  Maybe you’re intimidated or maybe you feel unprepared.  Whatever the reason, we’re hear to tell you how car auctions work and how you can benefit from them.  The vehicles at car auctions are being sold for any number of reasons.  Some cars are government fleet vehicles which are no longer needed.  Other cars may have been repossessed by a creditor after the owner failed to make his car payments.  Whatever the reason, you should approach all car auctions with a little bit of caution.

Car auctions are held in person and online.  In both cases, it’s helpful to have a comrade tag along who knows a lot about cars.  You will have the opportunity, at least in person, to inspect the car and even start the engine.  However you will not be allowed to test drive any of the vehicles.  If you have access to the vehicles available at the car auctions prior to the auction day, do some research on reasonable prices.  Then, set your bidding price and stick to it.  You don’t want to get caught up in a bidding war where you end up paying far more than you can afford.  If at first you don’t find anything, don’t give up, car auctions are happening all the time, and there’s always another opportunity to find your next set of wheels.
